Learn the latest in equipment, technology and work practices. We will use the principles and philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Work with your peers to improve your hospital processes and systems. Bring your policies and procedures so you can analyze your program and participate in problem solving. By the end of this workshop, you will have reviewed your program and will have an action plan to take your Safe Patient Handling Committee. This course is ideal for those interested in a leadership role for patient and employee safety.

Back by popular demand! Attendees will receive 6 hours on Day 1 and 4 hours on Day 2 for a total of 10 hours of OSHA and DOSH instruction. This is the only course that covers both federal and Washington State employee safety program compliance. The focus will be on DOSH inspection preparation and regulatory updates.
 
Who should attend: Safety officers, facility managers, employee health nurses, chairs of the employee safety committee and anyone responsible for regulatory compliance. Those who complete the 10 hours will receive a certificate of completion plus a wallet card from OSHA.
 
 
 
2010 On-Site Claims Management Visits
The following hospital members are scheduled for on-site claim review visits this year.  These on-site visits provide the hospital with status updates of their open claims, education on workers’ compensation, and an opportunity to address specific issues, as well as meet Workers’ Compensation personnel.  If your hospital is scheduled for a site visit, please mark your calendar.  The claims staff will call those facilities to confirm the tentatively scheduled dates below:
