AWPHD is pleased to offer a web cast on Addressing Conflict in healthcare organizations. Assessing and addressing workplace tension is critical to control the high costs of conflict and provide quality care. The 2009 Joint Commission Leadership Guidelines stress the importance of building conflict management skills and processes into hospital operations.

This web cast will provide you with the basics: tools to sort constructive from destructive conflict, assessing potential impacts of conflict, identifying the sources of conflict in a healthcare setting. It will focus on meaningful steps you can take to deal productively with conflict situations. Participants will also learn how to build valuable benchmark information from which they can build action plans and measure progress.

The presenters are Ron Kuest and Lloyd Robinson, Kuest & Robinson LLC,Seattle, who specialize on organizational conflict resolution. They have experience in the healthcare field and regularly work with a number of organizations in both the public and private sectors, helping them build tools to deal effectively with conflict at all levels.
